Shhhhhhhhh! Gasp!
Shhh! Yep, there once was a time when movies didn't have ANY recorded sound. There were known as silent movies.

But don't worry, you could understand what was going on by reading little clips embedded throughout the film.
Sounds kind of boring?
Maybe by the standards used to create today's blockbuster hits.
But silent movies were anything but silent or boring. A piano or organ player played throughout the movies, providing a soundtrack setting the stage for
daring escapes and comedic routines.
Theaters still show silent movies from time-to-time, piano player and all (if you know where to look!)
But don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself!
